I've realised this over the years: there is no point feeling hurt when someone hurts you, for the person who had hurt you would never know what it feels like to be hurt in such a way. Only you yourself would remember the hurt, acutely, painfully perhaps, in all its dimensions and forms. Maybe, just maybe, with such a point of view, the world might seem a less depressing place. =/
